Õtoto

Conceived in Marseille and born from two years of introspection, Otǒto is the first solo statement of Falzar, a French artist whose sound drifts gracefully between light and shadow — just as the cover’s surreal landscape suggests. The title, Otǒto — Japanese for little brother — reflects a deep human connection that transcends distance. In 2023, Falzar journeyed to Japan to visit his mentor and brother Félix (AIRI) and Erika Shiroyama, the painter behind this luminous artwork. Together, they became his Japanese family — a wellspring of creative resonance, friendship, and gratitude. Erika’s oil painting captures the very soul of the EP: celestial eyes, oceanic layers, mountains dissolving into sky — a dialogue between dream and reality. It is a map of consciousness where every symbol breathes with sound. Each of the four tracks expands upon this visual mythos, shaping a world of contrasts: clarity and chaos, weight and lightness, contemplation and movement. Through Otǒto, Falzar translates that experience into vibration — a ritual of frequencies that bridges Marseille and Kyoto, studios and sunsets. The collaboration with Green Waves emerges as a natural extension of this journey, adding organic texture and emotional gravity to the story. This release marks not just a debut, but a revelation — a circle completed between brothers, mentors, and the unseen energies that connect us. Otǒto is the younger voice rising to speak, carrying within it the echoes of love, discipline, and silence.
